Joan joined Marks, O’Neill after managing her own firm. Joan has over twenty years experience as an insurance defense litigator, including being the lead trial counsel in many multi-party cases that have been tried to verdict, as well as countless arbitrations and mediations. Joan’s litigation experience ranges from general litigation, motor vehicle, commercial trucking, products liability, construction, premises liability to coverage. Joan has been selected numerous times as a defense and/or neutral arbitrator for a number of insurance companies. She helped to develop and does participate in the settlement facilitator program for the Delaware County Bar Association. She has lectured many times on civil trial practice and ADR. Joan is also active in her community. She helped to develop a “buddy program” for women with breast cancer at Riddle Memorial Hospital. She is a member of the Cancer Patient Advocacy Committee at Riddle’s Cancer Center. She is also involved in the Rose Tree Media School District where she is a member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee. Joan is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Delaware County Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and a Fellow of the Academy of Advocacy.
