Jerry graduated from Temple University and Duquesne University School of Law. He is engaged primarily in the defense of personal injury lawsuits. He is one of the founding partners of Marks, O'Neill, O'Brien & Courtney. Jerry's major areas of work presently involve the defense of suits against supermarkets, hotels and casinos, taverns, health clubs, trucking companies, and retail stores. Other areas of concentration include product liability, automobile liability, and all types of premises liability.
Jerry is presently active in the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, PDI and DRI. He is also involved in several Philadelphia Bar activities including the Compulsory Arbitration Committee, and the Civil Judicial Procedures Committee, having served as a past Chairman. Jerry remains active as a State and Federal Arbitrator and Judge Pro tem. He was recently voted a Pennslyvania Super Lawyer by "Law Politics" and the publishers of Philadelphia Magazine.
Jerry Marks has always maintained an active trial schedule and has tried to verdict well over two hundred and fifty jury trials in State and Federal Court. |
