Christa graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a minor in Political Science. Christa went on to obtain her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she was a participant in the Murry S. Love Trial Moot Court and Appellate Moot Court Competitions.

While attending law school, Christa gained experience working as a law clerk for the Honorable John T. Bender of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and as a law clerk for the United States Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she served as a certified legal intern in the University of Pittsburgh's Community and Economic Development Clinic.
